Hexagons at Last

I love the grandmother's garden quilt pattern but that many hexagons has always seemed like a real life's work type of thing.

For our last quarters quilt book club at Seasons of Home we are doing...

One of the yummiest quilts you've ever seen. I actually picked this out for the store myself because I couldn't walk away from it!

Anyway, there is a small hexagon panel in it and...

Ahhhhh!!!! It was so easy! A sharp needle is very important but besides that it's pretty low energy. Since I'm pregnant with twins low energy is about my limit. I did this all this morning in about 2 hours or so. 40 hexagons! Now I'm just whip stitching them together and I'll be done.

Here's another cute little block from the quilt. They're so much fun!

Awesome 30's

I'm not sure the 1930's can be considered awesome but the cute prints from it definitely are! Here is one of the cutest quilts I've seen using these great reproduction prints.

It's actually really easy and in about 2 days of a few hours wrk I had this...

I'm totally in love with it. The pattern is by Geoff's Mom Patterns.

Two Big Projects Done!

This first one is from Jill Finley's book "Stitched Together." Me, my sisters, mom, grandma, aunt and cousins did 12 of these last year and my mother-in-law liked it so I made her one for Christmas/mother's day. I love her and all she does for me and my family.
This is a quilt I did for our Quilt Book Club at Seasons of Home. Last month we started Moda's "Sweet Celebrations" book and did a really cute tote, this month is the Valentine's Day apron and next month we are doing this quilt. It turned out really beautiful made out of "For A Cause" from Moda. It's soft and pretty and I think of it as my own mother's day gift to myself.
Two jelly rolls, one "For a Cause" and one snow white moda solid, some yardage for the yellow and borders and that was it. I love jelly rolls!

A Few Things From HMQS

This will soon be made up in the store because I want it so bad. Queen sized coming right up.

Ruffle bummed romper for my 2 yr old and maybe my 5 year old. She's pretty cute, I think she can pull it off.

New and Pretty

This is my adorable new sewing desk. I'm planning a whole thing of course so I'll have more to show. I just can't get over how cute this green table is. They are available to order at Seasons of Home.

I also hung my cute little buckets from Ikea above the desk for quick to reach tools.

Inspiration

Here are a few pictures from the last week or two that have really made me want to get out my needle and floss.  My friend is making the adorable embroidered picture above that has the saying, "Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without."
This is a vintage baby pillow that one of the ladies brought to the Heber Valley Quilt Guild to show us.
This rose is from a beautiful queen size quilt my aunt has hanging in her craft room. The entire edge is the cross stitched roses. SO BEAUTIFUL!

I hope you see lot so things to inspire you this week.
